Dr. ThomasTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (1) if Hubday Ltd. of the Isle of Man has applied to his Department for permission to export toxic wastes to Guinea-Bissau;
(2) if Bis Import-Export Ltd. of London has applied to his Department for export licences to ship (a) toxic and (b) radioactive wastes from the United Kingdom to Guinea-Bissau.
§ Mr. Alan Clark[holding answer 28 June 1988]: It has been the practice of successive Governments not to comment on individual licensing matters. Export licences would be required for the export of any toxic or radioactive wastes containing chemicals or materials specified in the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1987.
