To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, pursuant to his answer of 18 December 1987,Official 418W Report, column 847, he will publish estimates available to him on the value for money to be achieved from the Government data network.

No. Value for money information will be available only after tenders are received and compared to the costs of alternatives. Tender details will be commercially confidential and will not be disclosed publicly.
