§ Mr. FreemanMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence has no plans scheduled for a meeting with the chairman of the Territorial Auxiliary and Volunteer Reserves Association at the present time. However, formal consultative machinery exists in the shape of the bi-annual Territorial Auxiliary and Volunteer Reserves Advisory Committee, which is next due to meet on 12 July 1988. The council of TAVRAs does, however, have the right to make representations to the Department at any time it sees fit to do so.
