§ Mr. Ian StewartThe aim of the Clyde area public safety scheme is to safeguard the public, not only in the unlikely event of a submarine reactor accident, but in the event of any other accident in the Clyde area which might lead to a release of radioactivity, and which interferes with the normal activities of the local population.
