To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what estimate he has made of the costs of the artillery programme intended to replace the cancelled SP-70 programme.

A competition is currently in progress for 155mm self-propelled Howitzers for the British Army but no decisions have yet been taken and it would not be appropriate to disclose an estimated programme cost at this stage.
