To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what recent progress has been made towards harmonising operational requirements.

Good progress has been made. Over the past three years the United Kingdom has subscribed to 18 staff requirements agreed in NATO's conference of national armaments directors (CNAD) and nine of the 13 agreed in the Independent European Programme Group (IEPG).
