§ Mr. Mudd
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he hopes to publish his decision on the recommendations of the inspector, Mr. J. J. Tackley, following the public inquiry on 16 to 19 June 1987 into a planning appeal involving The Firs, Mawla, Redruth, Cornwall; and why it has taken so long to arrive at a decision.

§ Mr. Waldegrave
A heavy work load in the Department's planning inspectorate has delayed the inspector's report.
The report was submitted to the Secretary of State earlier this month and a decision will be issued as quickly as possible.
