To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will provide an updated estimate of the size of the nuclear weapons held by NATO and that of Warsaw pact countries; and if he will make a statement.

Information on the numbers of nuclear weapons held by NATO and the Warsaw pact is contained in annex A, figures 15 and 16 of the "Statement on the Defence Estimates 1987". This will be updated in SDE 88.
