To ask the Prime Minister (1) whether the public interest criteria of the code for Crown prosecutors, issued pursuant to section 10 of the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985, are exempt from consideration of alleged offences committed under the auspices of the prerogative right of the Crown;

(2) whether, pursuant to her answer of 18 January, Official Report, column 492, any alleged criminal actions in exercise of a prerogative right of the Crown have, since 1979, not been subject to prosecution as a result of the exercise of the public interest criteria in the code for Crown prosecutors.

Prosecutions are a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General, and the other prosecuting authorities.
