To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when the adjudication officer's guide will be published.

§ Mr. Portillo
It is anticipated that the adjudication officer's guide will be published shortly, in time for the new social security benefits which come into operation on Monday 11 April 1988. I will write to the hon. Member when the exact date is known.
