§ Mr. GristData on hospital midwifery staff, analysed by district health authority, are available annually in "Health and Personal Social Services Statistics for Wales", copies of which are in the Library of the House. Detailed information on specific areas of work is not yet sufficiently reliable for the Department to give accurate staffing figures for each neonatal unit. Information on medical staff with a specific commitment to neonates is not held centrally.
