To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what are the implications of the Transnuklear allegations of bribery and cover-up involving the Federal Republic of Germany, Belgium, Sweden, the EEC Energy Commission and EURATOM for further confidence in, and continued application of(a) EURATOM and (b) the International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards in the United Kingdom and in the European Economic Community.

Euratom and the International Atomic Energy Agency are currently investigating the reports. We await their conclusions.
