§ Mr. LangMy right hon. and learned Friend has received 853 representations since the Abolition of Domestic Rates Etc. (Scotland) Bill was enacted in May last year. Since many representations have included comments in favour of some of the proposals and against others, it is not possible to provide the information in the form requested.
§ Mr. GallowayTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he intends to inform Scottish local authorities of the level of the proposed unified business rate for 1989–90; and on what basis the business rate will be calculated.
