Factory inspectors are allocated to groups responsible for inspection of different industries and during their careers inspectors move between groups; it is therefore not possible to tell how many have resigned from work on construction.
It is planned to recruit enough factory inspectors to bring the total number of experienced inspectors in construction groups nationally to around 100 by 1990.
