To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he next intends to meet the chairmen of the British Broadcasting Corporation and Independent Broadcasting Authority; and what matters he expects to discuss.

My right hon. Friend has no immediate plans to meet the chairman of the BBC or IBA, but we expect to keep in close touch with them over the next few months as our policy on broadcasting develops.
