To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how much Oxfordshire county council has lost in grant for the next financial year as a consequence of the rate support formula for redistribution from areas of high rateable value to areas of low rateable value.

Under the present system the domestic ratepayers of Oxfordshire will pay £9.2 million more in 1988–89 than they would in the absence of resource equalisation.
