§ Mr. SainsburyThere are no formal agreements involving acceptance overseas of nuclear wastes from British defence operations in the United Kingdom, and none has been sent.
Nor are there formal agreements for acceptance into the United Kingdom of nuclear wastes from British defence operations overseas, but small quantities have been returned to the United Kingdom on an ad hoc basis.
§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many plutonium and radioactive waste related projects at the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, Aldermaston, have been agreed by Ministers in each year since 1979; what have been the costs of each project(a) at the time agreed and (b) currently; and if he will make a statement about the reasons for changes.
