To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report those nature reserves situated in Scotland presently in public ownership.

National nature reserves as at 31 March 1987 are listed, with details of the type of tenure in each case, in the Nature Conservancy Council's annual report 1986–87, a copy of which has been laid before Parliament. Since that date the following national reserves have been declared in Scotland:

One national nature reserve, Haaf Gruney, Shetland, has been de-declared since 31 March 1987.

Comprehensive information on the ownership of local nature reserves, which are declared by local authorities, is not readily available.
