HC Deb 20 January 1988 vol 125 c711W
Mr. David Martin

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will estimate what proportion of British goods has an export value tied to the United States dollar, what to the pound sterling and what to the deutschmark.

Mr. Alan Clark

The percentage of United Kingdom exports tied to the United States dollar, pound sterling and deutschmark in 1986 was 18, 56 and 4, respectively. These percentages are based on results of surveys to identify currencies used for invoicing.
