§ Mr. LeightonTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment how often, on average, a YTS scheme may expect to be inspected by the Training Standards Advisory Services.
§ Mr. CopeThere are currently 3,150 organisations approved by the Manpower Services Commission to organise and deliver YTS training programmes. The Training Standards Advisory Service expects to visit every approved training organisation at least once within a five-year period. The comprehensive inspections which the service carries out are additional to the regular monitoring of YTS delivery carried out by MSC area and regional office staff.
