§ Mr. Peter BottomleyResearch into road surface dressing has been carried out by the Department's Transport and Road Research Laboratory. The results are incorporated into Road Note 39 "Recommendations for Road Surface Dressing". Trials of new techniques and materials are continuing and the recommendations contained in the above document may be reviewed in the light of the results obtained.
