§ Mr. BeggsTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make financial provision for a bypass at Glynn, Larne, in accordance with the Department of the Environment's 1978 10-year plan for such a scheme.
§ Mr. NeedhamThe Glynn bypass was included in the East Antrim area plan 1975–95, which was adopted by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland in 1979. However, the intervening years have seen a reduction in the funding available for capital roads projects. It is not now anticipated that a bypass to Glynn will be constructed in the foreseeable future.
