To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many occasions the Department of the Environment (NI) has invoked its powers under article 51 of the Planning (NI) Order 1972 in relation to the display of an advertisement in contravention of the Planning (Control of Advertisements) Registrations (NI) 1973.

[holding answer 14 January 1988]: the records available indicate that since 1974 62 summonses have been issued.
