§ The Prime MinisterMy right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture is responsible for all aspects of agricultural policy. He works closely with other ministers including my right hon. and noble Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, who is responsible for United Kingdom policy on international trade negotiations and has overall responsibility for consumer affairs. The views194W of consumers and of bodies representing them are welcomed by the Government at all stages of policy formation, and consumer bodies are regularly consulted about developments in the Uruguay round of negotiations which is currently under way in the general agreement on tariffs and trade.
