§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyA confidential study commissioned by the Nature Conservancy Council in 1980 from Edinburgh university was used to produce a methodology for the national countryside monitoring scheme. The first report in this series, "Changes in the208W Cumbrian Countryside" was published by NCC in 1987. I will arrange for copies of this report to be placed in the Library as soon as it has been reprinted.
