To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (1) what was the value of goods and services imported into the European Economic Community from East Germany in the last year for which figures are available;

(2) what was the value of goods and services imported into the European Economic Community from eastern bloc countries in the last year for which figures are available.
