§ Mr. AtkinsOn 2 July 1986 a conference was held on glass recycling at which a commitment was made by the glass industry, packaging industry, supermarkets, local authorities and central Government to work towards doubling the number of bottle banks over a five-year period. Progress is being made towards meeting this target.
