To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will itemise all the estimated costs to be incurred by his Department in relation to the British Army equipment exhibition from 26 June to 1 July in Aldershot.

All additional costs incurred in relation to the British Army equipment exhibition are recovered from the companies participating in it.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many military personnel will be on duty at the next British Army equipment exhibition in Aldershot.

Some 750 military personnel will be on duty in support of the British Army equipment exhibition 1988.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if any firepower and mobility demonstrations are planned in conjunction with the next British Army equipment exhibition at Aldershot; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Sainsbury

In conjunction with the 1988 British Army equipment exhibition, there will be mobility demonstrations but no firepower demonstrations.
