Mr. Cryer

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when he expects the joint report for the Manpower Services Commission-Jarvis plc study into job creation and promotion along the Settle to Carlisle railway corridor to be received; whether it will be circulated to all interested parties; and if he will make a statement.

The final report of the feasibility study is expected at the end of January. Ministers and those with an interest will be sent a copy.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish the joint report of the Manpower Services Commission-Jarvis plc study into job creation and promotion along the Settle to Carlisle railway corridor; whether copies will be made available for all the local authorities assisting in financing the local service along the Settle to Carlisle railway; and if he will make a statement.

Copies will be made available for comment to local authorities, and I shall arrange for copies to be placed in the Library.
