§ Mr. Nicholas ScottThe amount announced on 18 December of £10 million to £15 million to be donated to charities was an initial estimate. We now expect that around £14.5 million will be available. About half of this represents the underspend on social security expenditure after the special payments have been made, and the remainder underspend on public sector pensions.
