Member on 10 December 1987 Ministry officials wrote — on 8 April 1987, at the start of the lambing season — to farmers in the restricted area outlining "mark and release" arrangements for the new lamb crop. This letter included a passage on the disposal of casualties. A copy of the letter is being placed in the Library of the House.
