HC Deb 14 January 1988 vol 125 c377W
Mr. Gareth Wardell

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if, in the light of the existence of circular 44/87, he will undertake to review any findings of the inspector for the public inquiry into the application for executive houses at Murton lane, Newton, Swansea; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Grist

This appeal is one of those transferred by regulations to a planning inspector and my right hon. Friend has no power to intervene in the decision-making process other than by formally recovering jurisdiction. On present information, he does not believe that there is a case for taking such action. The guidelines on housing for senior management remain as set out in Welsh Office circular 30/86.
