20. Mr. Mullin

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate expected North sea oil revenue from all sources for each year up to 1991.

Mr. Lilley

Projections of Government revenues from the North sea for 1987–88 were published in the Autumn Statement 1987 and, for later years, in the 1987–88 Financial Statement and Budget Report. Revised projections will be published at the time of the next Budget.

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received on the current taxation regime governing North sea oil activity; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lilley

We have received representations from a number of representative bodies and companies. We have taken careful note of these representations, and keep the North sea fiscal regime under constant review.
