To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made in discussions between his Department and the London residuary body about the payment of outstanding Government grants for which provision has been made in the Greater London Council's 1985–86 closing accounts.

The Department and the LRB are cooperating with the district auditor to clarify further entitlement to certain Government grants.
