§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will place in the Library any information ICI gave his Department regarding the level and total of payments it made for each type of adverse reaction that occurred from the drug Eraldin.
§ Mr. Newton[holding answer 2 November 1987]: We have found no record that ICI informed the Department of the details of payments made under the Eraldin voluntary compensation scheme. Certain information about payments was given by ICI in confidence under the pharmaceutical price regulation scheme, but cannot be disclosed without a breach of that confidence.
