Mr. Jessel

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will provide in theOfficial Report full lists of (a) all Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force hospitals and (b) all service establishments which contain in-patient hospital facilities, listing in each case the number of beds established, the number of beds occupied on any recent convenient date, the nursing establishment and the relative number of nurses currently employed.

Notes:

1. The figures in brackets at line 4 show the number of trainee posts included in the establishment.

2. Line 5 includes 42 agency staff working 1 shift on the day.

3. Line 6 shows the total nursing staff on the wards in three shifts.

4. At the stated time there were 34 trainees temporarily attached to RNH Haslar and 67 trainees temporarily attached to BMH Aldershot from overseas hospitals which were additional to the United Kingdom establishments. This is partly reflected in the imbalance of figures for the BMH Aldershot in lines 4 and 5.
