To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what changes are being considered to the height of the east London river crossing bridge towers; and what is the reasoning behind the considered change.

Representations about the design of the proposed bridge were made at the public inquiry into the east London river crossing. These will be taken into account by myself and my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for the Environment, in considering the inspector's report on the inquiry which has just been received.
