Mr. Kirkwood

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will announce his decisions relating to the detailed provisions under the Social Security Act 1986 section 34, dealing with the new internal review procedure, indicating how many days an applicant will have in which to seek a review of a decision made by a social fund officer, how many days an applicant will have in which to appeal to a social fund inspector subsequent to initial review being rejected and how many days his Department will have in which to inform claimants of decisions relating to the social fund.
