§ Mr. Michael SpicerLiquid discharges from Sellafield were reduced by 93 per cent. for alpha emitters and 98 per cent. for beta emitters between 1978 and 1986 as a result of BNFL's massive investment in waste management plant. The level of discharges will be further reduced when the current investment programme is completed in the early 1990s.
