New Workers Scheme

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether employers who take YTS graduates on under the terms of the new workers scheme before it is terminated at the end of January will receive the full year's subsidy for each employee under this scheme from the time of employment.

Payment of new workers scheme support in respect of applications approved for jobs starting up to and including 31 January 1988 is not affected by the scheme's closure.
