To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he has any proposals regarding the carriage of passenger restraints on United Kingdom registered passenger ferries; and if he will make a statement.

No. The master is provided with powers for keeping order on passenger ferries under section 287 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1984. It is for ferry operators to decide whether to provide passenger restraints.
