To ask the Minister for the Arts whether he will publish in theOfficial Report the total amount spent by the Office of Arts and Libraries, directly and indirectly, on funding (a) orchestral music, (b) non-orchestral music and (c) all music excluding opera for every year from 1979–80 to 1987–88.

To ask the Minister for the Arts how much of the Office of Arts and Libraries expenditure directly and indirectly, on music, excluding opera, has been set aside for the replacement of Greater London council and metropolitan county council grants to music in every year since the Greater London council and the metropolitan county councils were abolished; which institutions have benefited; and by how much.
