To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to publish the report of his research unit on amusement arcades and gaming machine addiction; and what response he will be making to its findings.

Mr. John Patten

We shall publish the report as soon as we have fully considered the findings, which we are now doing. We shall then be able to take a view on what further steps might be appropriate.
