HC Deb 29 February 1988 vol 128 cc483-4W
Mr. Battle

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the latest estimate for the number of homeless people in Leeds; how many are under 21 years of age; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Roe

Numbers of households accepted as homeless are reported by local authorities, but not information on ages or on numbers of people. The households accepted by Leeds city council in the third quarter of 1987 appears in the latest issue of "Local authorities' action under the homelessness provisions of the 1985 Housing Act: England. Supplementary tables", which is available in the Library.
