§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThere are now 434 such projects operating; the number of homes insulated to date is estimated at 450,000; the target number of homes to be insulated is 200,000 in 1987–88 and a further 300,000 in 1988–89. Total Government funding (for start-up costs, wage costs, and for the draught-proofing work of projects) is estimated at £45 million in 1987–88 rising to £55 million to £60 million in 1988–89.
