HC Deb 29 February 1988 vol 128 c435W
17. Mr. Geraint Howells

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will consider giving extra funds to the East Dyfed health authority; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Grist

The authority's recurring revenue allocation has increased by £4,989 million or 9.7 per cent., by comparison with 1986–87, and next year will increase by a further £3.4 million, or 6.1 per cent. In addition, in the current financial year it has received supplementary non-recurring revenue allocations amounting to £0.43 million. Its capital allocation has increased by over £0.2 million, or 14 per cent., over 1986–87 and will increase by a further £0.4 million, or 21 per cent., in 1988–89. The authority has also been given loans amounting to £0.534 million this year, mainly in relation to capital schemes. Further allocations in 1988–89 from funds earmarked for centrally funded developments will be announced in due course.
