To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many Ministry of Defence houses there are in (i) Wales and (ii) Alyn and Deeside; how many such houses are currently empty; and if he will make a statement.

As at the latest dates for which the information is available, the numbers of MOD houses and flats were:

Many of the empty properties are either undergoing or awaiting works services, temporarily empty pending the arrival of new occupants or in process of disposal.
