§ Mr. WakehamThe Services Committee recommended that the building should be refurbished for short-term occupation pending redevelopment under phase II of the Bridge street development scheme. The proposed occupants are listed in the Committee's Second Report 1986–87, paragraph 5 (HC 378).
The report quoted a mid-1988 completion date, but I understand from the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Environment, my hon. Friend the Member for Southampton, Itchen (Mr. Chope) that completion should not now be expected before spring 1989.
