HC Deb 26 February 1988 vol 128 c362W
Mr. Wareing

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received about the prescribing of the drug Busparone; what his response has been; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Newton

[holding answer 24 February 1988]: I have received no representations about prescribing Busparone. This is a licensed medicinal product and doctors are free to prescribe it if they think it clinically appropriate for their patients. In common with all such products, Busparone will be subject to the special reporting arrangements of the Committee on Safety of Medicines in respect of suspected adverse drug reactions.
