To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what information he has about the effect of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland's decision not to prosecute certain Royal Ulster Constabulary officers on the stated investment intentions of United States industrialists in Northern Ireland.

There is no sign of any such effect, nor do I expect any.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the level of United States investment in Northern Ireland.

There are currently 24 United States companies in Northern Ireland employing 10,171 people.
